What could be nicer than a story about the sea, the beginning of all life.

We start at the top and the farthest north in our elongated country. At the top, the sailboats sail towards distant horizons. Next a seamark with upwardly pointing triangles, this marks that it stands north of the shoal. Sea buckthorn is a prickly beach plant, trying to defend its colorful berries. The Eider is a common bird around our coasts. We have a lot of Lighthouses. Here the lighthouse of “Söderarm” throws its message to the people of the sea, so that no harm will happen. Below the lighthouse, the bladder wrack shows its changing colors. The Razorbills with their beautiful profiles are standing two and two facing each other. There is a small rokery of them on the west coast and in  larger rokeries on the east coast between the islands “Bonden” and “Lilla Karlsö”.They build their nests on cliffs and cairns. Chives likes to grow in the crevices along the rocky shores. Nothing is better suited for flavoring the fish for a midsummer-meal. Small white clouds hover over the beautiful Rauks in Gotland. We sail across the Baltic Sea to get to "ostpricken" which stands east of  the shoals. The Breckland thyme with it´s pink and purple flowers is beautifully blooming on the rocks and sandy beaches. The Eastern archipelago with the islands, trees and houses, next a small hut and down by the lake boathouses and rippling waves. We pass the southeast corner of the country and discover Hanö and Bönsäcken - a reef with well-cut stones on the northwest corner of the island. From there we see Listerlandet and Lister's head. We are now at the "Sydpricken" which is located south of the shoal. The Marsh Daisy thrives at sea beaches and shines with its pink flowers. We arrive on the West Coast with their pickled herring in wooden barrels. A fisherman is standing on his jetty, lowering his lobster trap into the water. Down in the water, small and large plaices are swimming around. The "Västpricken" is standing west of the shoal and the harbour seals are looking at us from the Väderöarna. Finally the waters edge where the sea tulips have their home. Now we have wandered around our entire coast from North to West and we hope that you have felt at home somewhere on the road, even if you don’t live by the coast.
