Nils Holgersson Del 1

Selma Lagerlöf tells us the story about the 14-year-old boy from Skåne, Nils Holgersson and his adventures.    A leprechaun, which Selma describes as very small, beardless, dressed in a black long skirt, with white lace around his neck and a black hat, he bewitched Nils into a goblin and he came to make a world-famous ride on a goose back an got to know the goose Akka from Kebnekaise. Nils perceived Skåne as a big beautiful checkered fabric when he sat on the goose's back. At Nils Holgersson 1 you can see, Glimmingehus with its black rats. Rosenbom in Karlskrona with his beggar hat in his hands. Windmills on Öland are also included. Nils also experienced adventure on the back of a powerful white goat, Visby with its bailey and the sunken city of Vineta with its pinnacles and towers. He saw Östergötland from above and describes it with its cities and farms and churches and castles scattered like jewelery. Railways and blue canals ran through the landscape. The tissue also describes the fragile dog Karr. Passing the Castle of Gripsholm and soon the old owl told us about Bergslagen, which is rich in mines and ironworks.
